Before transitioning fully into healthcare, Chanen spent over a decade in the performing arts as an Associate Producer and Company Leader for live theater productions in major U.S. cities. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to excellence, professionalism, and meaningful community impact.

Chanen is the wife of Dr. Stanley K. H. Nwakanma and the proud mother of three children. Her Christian faith is central to her life and serves as the foundation for her commitment to compassion, service, and helping others.
